If You Are Homeless...
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides a listing of resources that can assist those who are homeless. Resources include housing, food, job training, and health care programs, resources for homeless veterans, and links to other sources of information.

Homeless Resource Manual
From SAILOR, Maryland's Public Information Network, this page provides links to general information on homelessness, including strategies for finding shelters and information on transitioning to permanent housing and applying for assistance programs. Health Care for the Homeless
This organization provides a comprehensive range of primary medical care, mental health services, social services and addiction services to homeless men and women in Baltimore City. HCH provides training to community-based organizations about how to access public benefit programs designed to serve low-income people. These programs include HealthChoice (Medicaid), Maryland Primary Care, Maryland Pharmacy Assistance and financial assistance for single adults. Homelessness: Fact Sheets for Kids
These fact sheets from the National Alliance to End Homelessness are designed to educate young people in the Washington, D.C. metro area about homelessness. Fact sheets are age appropriate for children in kindergarten-grade 2, grades 3-5, middle school, and high school. You must have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to view and print these files.

54 Ways You Can Help the Homeless
An on-line book written by Rabbi Charles A. Kroloff, and published by Hugh Lauter Levin Associates, Inc. and Behrman House, Inc. This book discusses 54 ways that individuals can help the homeless, with ideas divided into 7 topics. These topics include what to do when confronted by the homeless, giving to the homeless, volunteering to help, involving others, what children can do, making a commitment, and helping to end homelessness. This book also contains a directory of resources with contact information.

Directory of Local Homeless Service Organizations
This directory has been created by the National Coalition for the Homeless. This directory provides information on healthcare, clothing, shelter, and benefits for the homeless.
