way to setting goals and putting your retirement high on the list of personal

The Financial Planning Association
of Maryland (FPA)
FPA members are dedicated to supporting the financial planning process in order
to help people achieve their goals and dreams. Click PlannerSearch,
a tool for locating financial planners in your area. There is also a link to

Through statewide educational classes, the faculty of the Maryland Cooperative

Money Matters
The Administration on Aging is concerned with informing the public about
how they can better prepare for a more financially secure retirement. They have

planning, calculators of future financial needs and asset values, and more general

Social
Security Retirement Planner
The Social Security Administration offers this planner to help you find more
information about your Social Security retirement benefits and how they will
affect your retirement plans.
The
State Retirement and Pension System of Maryland
The System is a multi-employer defined benefit system which administers the
death, disability and retirement benefits on behalf of over 250,000 active and
former employees, teachers, state police, judges, law enforcement officers,
correctional officers and legislators in the State. Visit this site for information
on member services, pre retirement seminars, benefits handbooks, retiree benefits,
archives of the Retiree Newsletter, and other related resources.

This brochure from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards explains
