Ask NOAH About: Substance Abuse
New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) is a project of four New York partners: The City University of New York, The Metropolitan New York Library Council, The New York Academy of Medicine and The New York Public Library. This page provides links to authoritative resources for information on substance abuse. Topics include basics, alcohol, drugs, nicotine and tobacco products, recovery, information resources, and statistics.

What You Can Do About Drug Use in America
As part of the Drug-Free Communities Series, What You Can Do About Drug Use in America is a comprehensive overview of drug use and what we can do about it. This booklet is directed toward the individual, specifically toward parents, since change in the community needs to be reinforced by change at home. Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration (ADAA)
ADAA is the State agency responsible for the planning, development, coordination and delivery of services to prevent harmful involvement with alcohol and other drugs and to treat the illness of chemical addiction. Resources include directories of treatment and prevention services and answers to frequently asked questions.

Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR)
CESAR is a research center at the University of Maryland, College Park. A primary mission of CESAR is to collect, analyze, and disseminate information on the nature and extent of substance abuse and related problems in Maryland and nationally. This site features Maryland substance abuse information resources and a listing of Maryland Drug Street Terms, a starting point for decoding drug-associated jargon. This site also provides an archive of CESAR FAX, a weekly one-page overview of a timely substance abuse topic.

Substance Abuse Resource Guide: Faith Communities
The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information provides a listing of resources and materials to help members and leaders of faith communities across the country to reduce the problems of substance abuse.
