MEDLINEplus Health Information: Learning Disorders
MEDLINEplus provides quality health care information from the world’s largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. This page includes links to resources for the latest news on learning disorders, as well as general information and overviews. New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) is a project of four New York partners: The City University of New York, The Metropolitan New York Library Council, The New York Academy of Medicine and The New York Public Library. This page includes a section on learning and developmental disabilities, providing links to basic information, care and treatment, research, information resources, and organizations.

Learning Disabilities
This 44-page booklet from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) provides up-to-date information on learning disabilities and the role of NIMH sponsored research in discovering underlying causes and effective treatments. Described are treatment options, strategies for coping, and sources of information and support.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)
LDA is dedicated to identifying causes and promoting prevention of learning disabilities and enhancing the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families. This site provides fact sheets on early childhood topics, which include evaluating pre-school skills, selecting quality programs, spoken language and learning disabilities, prereading activities, and low birth-weight infants.
