All About Hospice: A Consumer's Guide

Hospice Network of Maryland
This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting quality end-of-life care for terminally ill patients in the State of Maryland. Visit this site for answers to commonly asked questions, a county directory for hospice care in Maryland, recommended readings, and related hospice links.

Advance Directives
Howard County General Hospital provides information to inform patients of their rights to make decisions concerning their own medical care to guide them in preparing advance directives. Model forms for preparing advance directives are included.

End-of-Life Tools
This resource comes from the PBS television series On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying. The resources on this site address planning, advance directives, hospice and support. The Patient Tools section features a spiritual assessment inventory and an assessment of beliefs about death and dying. The Final Days section of this site includes an article examining dying as a spiritual event.
