New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) is a project of four New York partners:
The City University of New York, The Metropolitan New York Library Council,
The New York Academy of Medicine and The New York Public Library. This site
provides links to information on asthma basics, care and treatment, disease
management and medications, and special issues and complications, such as children
with asthma, asthma and pregnancy, asthma triggers, and related diseases and
conditions.

Asthma All About?
This site delivers information on asthma symptoms and treatments and features
the interactive Web-based movie "What's Asthma All About?", which
is available in English or Spanish. A print-version of the film is also available.

Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA)
The AAFA is a patient organization dedicated to improving the quality of life
for people with asthma and allergies through education, advocacy and research.
This site provides resources for basic allergy information, including common
questions and answers, as well as the latest information on treatment methods
and management techniques. This site also features a section just for kids,
a resource catalog, Spanish resources, and a directory of local chapters and

Asthma:
From the American Lung Association
The mission of the American Lung Association is to prevent lung disease and
promote lung health. This site provides resources for information on topics
such as asthma attacks, medications, doctors, healthy schools, home control,
data and statistics, and others. Resources in Spanish are also available. Visit
the American Lung Association of
Maryland for information on local events, programs and services, and volunteer
opportunities, and view the "State of the Air 2001 in Maryland," a
report providing easy-to-understand air pollution summaries for the state.
The
Asthma Information Guide
This guide is presented by University of Maryland Medicine. It provides a description
of asthma and overviews of causes and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. The
site also gives information on asthma treatment divisions of the University
of Maryland Medical System.
The
Maryland Asthma Control Program
This statewide program was established in 1998 by the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene to address the escalating problem of childhood asthma through
education programs, health promotion programs, data collection and surveillance,
and the promotion of standards of care. This site provides details of the program,
background on their media campaign, related links, and contacts for additional
information. The Maryland Asthma Resource Guide is linked to identify national, state and local asthma resources.
American Lung Association of Maryland This site provides information on the school program called Open Airways. Open Airways is a program designed for elementary students to learn how to manage and control their asthma. There are also training materials for teachers provided on the site and information about Camp Kids, a camp for kids with asthma.
