Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)
is a respiratory illness, characterized by pneumonia-like inflamation of the
lungs. The cause of SARS is unknown. Cases of SARS were originally reported
in Asia and have spread to the United States, Canada and Europe. The World Health
Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are investigating.
